Beatles mono CD's - how do you listen to them?

So I haven't listened to the Beatles remasterd mono box set.. but i will get that chance in the coming weeks when my friend brings them over.
I have a few questions though.
since they are in mono.. do you only use one speaker? since you only need one for mono listening or is the two stereo left and right ok..?
