Reggae Rock

Doubt i'll get a lot of help here, but it's worth a shot. :)

I stumbled on a song today that reminded me a lot of a project that i idly worked on in college, and it rekindled my interest, if only in listening.

Anyways... i'm looking for "Reggae Rock" band suggestions to check out. I'm not looking for anything as progressive or "hard" as Skindred, for example, but also not so "acoustic-ish" or "garage-band-esque" as Dispatch or State Radio.

Bands that DO have tracks in the style that i'm looking for would be:

Borialis
Incubus
311

Here's some examples:

http://www.imeem.com/artists/incubus/music/n01X0YR8/incubus-the-warmth/

http://www.imeem.com/311/music/wM9AqDTr/311-beautiful-disaster/

Anyone got any ideas?
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Dammit, what do you have me signing up for.

I listen to some 311 myself along with Incubus, but I clicked the link for Borialis since I've never heard anything from them. When I first say 'Reggae Rock' for some reason ska came to mind, I'll check them out and see if I can recommend anything.

Borialis used to be at the forefront of the Jersey shore "Reggae" scene, but not a lot of their work reflects that. The track i linked to is probably the closest, and happens to be about the closest to what i'm looking for.

Basically, yeah, i want to listen to more, because i enjoy it.

But, i've also been too long without a band, and i used to write quite a bit, and i want to start, but try something that i haven't done before. This would be new for me, and i've always liked the 2,4 feel rather than the "normal" 1,3 feel. Would like to train my mind more towards this so it's not so forced when i go to write. :)

Yeah, saying "reggae rock" is probably gonna get you a lot of skacore suggestions (a la Fishbone). But hey, that's not the worst thing.

I say give Mad Caddies a try. Or if you want the harder end of the spectrum, The Flatliners.
    Equipment list:
    Onkyo TX-NR3010 9.2 AVR
    Emotiva XPA-3 amp
Polk RTi70 mains, CSi40 center, RTi38 surrounds, RTi28 rears and heights

    Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray player
    DarbeeVision DVP5000 video processor
