Well I went back to the back dr today..... And he has decided that I will have surgery to hopefully fix me and get me out of this pain. I am really not looking forward to this I realize that it is a simple surgery in terms of time and all that but I am still a little worried about the whole thing. The things that suck is that I will miss some things that I really look forward to this time of year. The first being Thanksgiving, I will be having the surgery on Tuesday next week in the hospital overnight and them home, but I know that I will not feel like getting in the car and going over the the family and sitting down to a big dinner. The second thing is deer hunting I can't remember a the last time that I didn't go deer hunting I wait all year long and now its only about two weeks away and I won't be able to go:( Oh well just as long as this takes care of things, It will all be worth it. So I guess I will probably be on here a lot in the next couple of months trying to keep my sanity by staying somewhat busy I am not use to doing nothing at all so.......Please keep me in your thoughts to help me get through this. Thanks for letting me ramble on a bit.

Best regards
Mark

I guess nothing else was workin' for ya? Wish you all the best man! I know how crappy back/neck injuries are/can be! You are lucky that you at least have the option for surgery, some are not as lucky.

    Get well soon :)

Good luck! Hope it's a temporary inconvenience for long term relief! I was in in your boat once...long before surgery was a decent option. Spent 10 days in traction(oh, what fun!) and many years of pain to follow. Somehow I got lucky and have been relatively pain free for some time now....wish ya all the best and hope somebody brings you some good food on Thanksgiving!...by the way, don't let them fool you...a beer helps the meds to be more effective :)

I don't know what kind of surgery your having , but I feel for you. I am recovering from rotator cup surgery. It sucks. The pain inmobility. I've got 2 more weeks of muscle stretching in therapy , then muscle building. Only advice I can give you is DO EXACTLY as they tell you. DON'T PUSH IT, or it will set you back. Been there. I quit taking the morphine for pain Sun. due to narcotic constipation. Just happen yesterday they checked range of motion. I have lost a great deal due to pain factor not muscle tension. My typing sucks cause it's L.H. My LH shoulder is ready to rip also but trying to toughen up till this time next year due to expenses. I wish you the very best , speedy pain free recovery. Also many prayers along the way. It doesn't take long for cabin fever to set in. If you need someone to talk to , e-mail me. krazyz1@comcast.net. Best wishes.
