Hi all...

Just wanted to say that I had the privledge to again visit George Grand today. He was kind and gracious enough to loan me some gear as I attempt to put my first 2 channel system together around my Monitor 7C's. I'll have them up and running tomorrow and will give an update. Thanks, as always, to George for being a gracious host and all around good guy.

James

George is not a human being. He's a fry cook from Venus.

While that may be true, ya gotta admit, he's pretty convincing at the human being thing.

When a nice guy (like James) shows up, and asks good questions humbly, without having an attitude or acting like a total low rent, it is hard NOT to want to assist. Happy listening and see you soon James, my pleasure.

Russ, you're a largehead bass, and I'm going to Brooklyn tomorrow and you're not.

    Bless your heart, George!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Pycroft gets it. That's why people like GG and others are willing to help. Way too many noobs that have come here with attitudes and god complexes.

    Good on you George.

    Enjoy James.

Let me tell you, I hooked everything up - and WOW. I sat and listened for about 90 minutes with a smile on my face the entire time. I have the monitor 7C's hooked up to a B&K ST-140 and a Technics preamp...it sounds just FANTASTIC. Now to unpack the good CD's :)

A year ago today, I woke up among the living, but was not supposed to. I am very gratified regarding this. It also served as a heads-up of sorts. Older guys, with no sons, should not have large piles of stereo equipment around the house.

I don't know George myself...but only know him through his philanthropic vinyl work; which is laudable. The thing I've always found interesting about his posts is the weight they carry....he has a certain gravitas that is well beyond his years because George...you're not really an old man...I think we're around the same age and if I have to call you old, what will I call myself!

Just joshing...nice work George...we're all grateful that we have seasoned members with such big hearts among us.
