Hi guys,

Just wondering if any of y'all have had a chance to compare the two and would love to hear your thoughts:

IN THE BLUE CORNER:

- Fronts L/R - Owm3
- Center - Owm5
- Surrounds - Owm3

IN THE RED CORNER:

- RM95 (or RM85) -5-pack system

(To be placed in a relatively small room and all speakers to be mounted on the walls. To be used mostly for movies)

Sub will be PSW110

I have the 95 pack and it did about as good of a job as you could expect from such small speakers. Actually much better then I expected, but they are now my side and rear channel speakers after upgrading. If I were you I would look for some larger bookshelves on polks ebay store. You could get much better bang for the buck there then by buying the rm95's new.

I haven't tried the OWM, but I have some on the way:D I'm with bevo, I have the RM85, and it does very well considering the size. However, speakers are in some respect like cars. There's no replacement for displacement:D

yep i completely agree with y'all but in this particular application, i really need a small speaker system to be mounted on the wall and it looks like only the OWM and RM series fit the bill.

(I already have RTi A series gear in my main theater area and my bro has a full TSi setup in his place. This is for our bedroom and the wife is only agreeing if its between these two :))

I know the RM85/95 sounds great for it's size, it's a shame you're not local, lol! I'm trying sell a set of RMs I just purchased that I don't like for my particular application. From what I can tell the OWM would most likely have a fuller sound and blend easier with a sub given the larger mid/enclosure and lower response. They seem like they would give a lot of mounting flexibility as well. The RM can also be wall mounted, just with a little less flexibility I suppose. After all is said and done, the OWM or the RM could be had for around the same price from Polk Direct, and both would surely be hard to beat in this price range. I kinda comes down which looks better to you, since both would be just fine for mostly HT duty IMO. Where on the walls were you planning on mounting them? In the corners, by a wall mounted TV?
