Hello all,
I am in the agonizing process of upgrading my system to either 5.1 or 7.1.
I currently have a late 80's Techincs Component system with a Model SU-V78 Stereo integrated amp that still works fine.
I have been told that it was good equipment for the time. Specs show 110 w per channel.
My question is is there any value in this kind of old equipment? What do you guys do with your old stuff when you get new???---just wondering what to do with it when I decide on its replacement.
It also has a am/fm tuner to go with it.

Looking at ebay completed listings, two have sold in the last month. One for $26 and one for $55. There is currently a listing for the amp & tuner, $9 starting bid, no bids yet.

Usually If I have something that low in value, I just give it away to friend or family member. Not worth it to spend the time trying to sell it.

Another option is to start another small rig somewhere, maybe a garage system.

I checked out ebay after posting, probably not worth the hassle. Never thought about a garage system. I wife will love that idea:rolleyes::D
