surroundbar sda

i am looking at buying a surroundbar sda theatre package for my samsung ( i have a complete 7.1 surround system ) but want to here normal tv better. does anyone know how far the remote will work with this system. i have seen other systems that when programmed the remote only works for around 6 feet away?
