Currently have CSi25. Upgrade to CS1?
I currently have a CSi25 center, R50 fronts, and M10 rears. I know the CSi25 center is the matching center for these speakers, but am wanting to upgrade my center to get better clarity in dialog. I realize the CS1 and CS2 aren't the matching center for my system, but having the better quality center could outweight having a matching setup. I'm considering getting the CS1.
I just listened to a setup that had a CS2 center, and it sounded way better than my CSi25. How much of that increased quality is due to the 1" tweater in the CS2 vs. the .75" tweeter in the CSi25, and how much is due to the 6.5" woofer in the CS2 vs. the 5.25" woofer in the CSi25? Really the only specification improvement from the CSi25 to the CS1 would be the tweeter increasing from .75" to 1". Would that provide a noticeable improvement? I'd consider getting the CS2 instead of the CS1, but the budget is really tight. Thanks for any input.

I can tell you that when I upgraded from the RM6750 center to the CS1, the difference blew me out of the water! EVERYTHING was much cleaner and the overall sound quality/clarity was out of this world. One of the best examples is in the Band Of Brothers DVD (EP2: Day or Days) in DTS - when they are getting ready to jump into Normandy, you can hear every little nuance, from dialogue over the engine props, to the metal sounds of the gear clipping up to the zipline (right before the jump). I say pull the trigger and never look back - you won't regret it!Living room:
