Sometime ago, there was an interesting thread regarding the "spiking of SDA's".While there are various manufacturers out there,I feel that Mr Grant Van der Mye of Mye sound deserves some reconigition.I purchased the Points N' Pads for my SDA 1C's,and since he had just been cleaned out by some of you,he was working on another batch.I believe that he has a regular job as most of us do,therefore leaving the evenings and weekends to pursue his craft.Grant communicated with me regularly during the manufacturing process, and I got them as promised.Fast forward to the day after Polkfest,I decided to tweak one of my speakers,,spikes are brass,,so just a little push here and a twist--POP,, wow,, these things bend a little don't they(I did have the spikes thread in a very extended position, and I should not have tried to move/twist them like I did).Well, I fessed up to Grant,I let him know what happened,,he was very understanding and also enlightened me about the properties of brass. So I'm getting the 2 spikes that I destroyed, replaced, with his usual Outstanding customer service.I just wanted to post this to let my fellow Polkies know about Mye Sound. This man stands behind his products and is an absolute pleasure to deal with. A very sincere thank you sir.
If your are thinking about spikes,,you might wanna give him a shot. These appear to be very well made, just don't do anything dumb, like I did.

Thanks for sharing your story George. Grant deserves the recognition he gets because he earns it the old fashion way with a first class product and excellent customer service.

Another vote for Grant and his Mye Sound products and customer service. I was very nervous about spending the money for the Mye stands for my Magnepan 1.6's and getting them delivered safely from Canada. Grant took the time to put me at ease and delivered them with absolutely no problems. Good people, good products.

    +1 On Myespikes and Grant.

    Definate improvements tighter punchier bass.

Greorge, I have point and pads and slide them around on the H/W floor all the time. Did you have them screwed in all the way ? Should I stop sliding them when needing to move the 1Cs ?

I use nothing but Grant's spikes.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

leroy--it was the final tweak of many,,I heard a more "defined" and tighter bass altogether,,these are top shelf spikes that are reasonably priced with great build quality, and great customer service,, made by a real guy that will talk to you.I think that he makes them in his home shop.
