Help with alternator noise

I think i'm getting the common alternator noise a high pitched whine that gets higher with RPM. I found that it goes away when y unplug one of my stereo rca's and ground the external terminal with anything near my stereo. Also the case of my amplifier is touching metal parts of my car (its grounded). What could be the cause of the noise?

I just isolated my amp and the noise didn't go away.

Did you run your RCA jacks next to your power wires and your remote wire?

No, i did not. but I found the problem. It was my pioneer HU I just grounded the rca's. It was the picofuse or something like that.

Can I take a guess and say you are using a pioneer head unit?
If so you need to ground the rca's like this.

Yes, that was the solution. Now when I have time I will open my HU and solder it inside.

You may have to check all you ground points, and yes, something could be too close causing the noise.
