Just a few moments alone with this jackass and I doubt he would EVER think about wearing anything more than a diaper ever again. Thanks to the Naval Officer for ending this dirtbag's charade...

He might have gotten away with two rows of ribbons only but he went way overboard in his fantasy, especially with the stories. We had a guy up here in Port Townsand, WA who for a number of years told stories and wore badges and ribbons from Nam saying that he was a Navy Seal. He even chaired the local VFW chapter and was well regarded by his fellow members. One day the shoe fell and he was a phoney. He served alright, in the Army as a office poge.

I've read other stories on these types of incidents. It's pretty disgusting and such a slap in the face to all medal recipients and all combat vets. in general.

These guys need to discover/stick to the internet more. Then they could really shovel it deep, with low risk.

I guess one must really have pretty low self estem to be such a phoney. Military medals aren't toys and not made to play act like this, that is a disgrace to all men and women that deserved such honor.

What a ****. If he really could see what it took to get any of those medals, he would cry for forgiveness.

This is way more common than one would think and it's sad. Wish I'd have met some of these guys that play dress up, although I know from time to time I've been lied to when I try to engage in conversation with some of these 'vets'. I ask them simple questions like what their MOS was/etc. and they say "what's that?" [facepalm]

Let me guess, he's a mall security guard?
The only time I wore my uniform outside a military function, was at my brothers wedding, and THAT, was under protest, because the Navy enlisted dress uniforms are ****!!!

In the Marine Corps, you're not supposed to wear any of your uniforms outside of military junctions at all. Unless it's for recruiting duties, special events IE weddings and/or funerals and that's it.

As for wearing utilities, you can't even do it to get gas coming home from work unless it's an absolute emergency.

There are an awful lot of wannabies in this world. Just remember they never ever could be and so they try to act the part. I hope they give him a large fine. It would be great if they could make him clean the shitters in a few barracks as a taste of what real marines get to do in basic.

In the '60's you could wear uniform when on the beach. Blues to functions and on the Marine Corps birthday, security duties on bases was modified blues.
