What was your favorite game as a kid ?

Reading the post about the new movie made after the game Risk brought back memories of the games I played as a kid back in the 70's. Does anyone remember the games "battling tops" and "mind maze" ? Those were great games and I remember playing battling tops and one day I pulled the string so hard my hand flung up and broke the hanging lamp that was over the kitchen table. This was back when we had no video games.....these were it!Suprisingly, when I went to college I found out there were guys having battling tops tournaments!:D

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    Crab apple fights.

i remember back in illinois we had a crabapple tree and were chucking them at one another and having a jolly good time.

...until i tagged the driver window of a passing car that came to a screeching halt.

Getting a big wheel the first year they were made. Getting a minibike at 5 years only and a 60cc Yamaha motorcycle when I was 6 years only. Ding dong ditch it. Hitting squad cars with snowballs. Playing doctor with the neighborhood girls. Homeade M-80's and 1/4 sticks were always a blast. Spin the bottle, truth or dare..... I could go on and on..:D

Lawn Jarts, bottle rocket wars and potato guns are still fun, even as a beat and abused old dude.

Funny thing is my stereo is almost all Yamaha now.

Lots of apple and snowball throwing at cars, but my favorite was definately during the hot summer nights when people would have fans sitting inside window jams blowing into their houses, us little **** would throw eggs through them fans and run. Sometimes we would here the people inside screaming! :D
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

LOVED the annual BR fights! My last one was epic until my mother came around the corner in her car and thought a full out war was happening on our street. Man was she pissed.

What was classic is my uncle was a cop and he would confiscate fireworks from people and give them to my cousin and I. We would easily have 2 or 3 grosses of black cat bottle rockets a week before the 4th.
