I currently have a PSW505 on my system but my avr allows for 7.2.... Frys has the PSW10 on sale for 88 bucks this weekend so i'm very tempted to pick this up as a 2nd sub.. what do you think.. will the 505 drown it out or will it still had a nice stability to my bass.

Yes, i think the 505 will drown it out reardless of placement. i currently run 2 PSW10's and they sound nice together, i would keep em the same for sure.

The 505 is much more powerful and may do this...but lots of people double stack their subs on top of each other....the PSW10 although it only has a bottom end of 40hz is actually OK for "music" because of that..if it is NOT overdriven. because it will then put out port noise...

It might be worth experimenting? Who knows for sure?

Honestly i wouldn't bother. It won't give you much other than possibly a nasty volume spike in the frequencies where the PSW10 might actually be able to halfway keep up with the 505.

Now, if you could use the PSW10 as a dedicated mid-bass woofer, and the 505 as a true sub, that might get you somewhere, but i think that's be more trouble than it's worth using subs of that caliber.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

I tried to run PSW505 and PSW10 before and I did not like it at all. You will degrade the SQ of PSW505 by adding muddy PSW10.
