My SDAs tricked my dog!

I have a story to tell that I'm sure only SDA owners will truly appreciate...
Last night, I was listening to the track "Reptile" from the NIN Downward Spiral SACD on my SDA 2As. For those of you who have not heard this song, the first minute or so of the track has a bunch of industrial noises that sound like a factory machine running in the background or something like that. Well, with the SDAs, these particular sounds seem to come from a space about a foot or two to the left of the left speaker (outside of the "normal" soundstage). The funny thing is, my dog (a Siberian Husky mix) was sitting in the room with me, and as soon as those noises started she stood up, walked over and stood next to my speaker, and stared at the exact spot (in midair) that the sound seemed to be coming from.
From the look on her face, I could tell that she was definitely confused because there were sounds in front of her face with no origin. She stood there and looked at the spot in the air for the entire intro to the song and I just thought to myself, "I love my SDAs".

Nice ! Dog hearing is suppose to be more sensitive than ours, no matter how loud I turn up my 1Cs my Pom will not leave the room. I think dogs like SDAs.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

Good story
I had my Pitbull yelping like he was trying to **** out a peach seed when i thew on some Pantera on my old SDA's and had them cranked. I guess he thought the SL2000's where on the bright side ;-) Funny stuff.

the very SECOND you step out of my SDA sweetspot, the sounds eminate directly from the left or right speaker itself. funky that your pup kept looking into the void unless sitting in the middle. still trips my dog out too.
what really trips him out is watching movies on the 7.1 rig. doorbell rings in the movie or someone knocking on the door which comes from a side surround speaker gets him going. especially dogs barking.

I love em too. I was rocking to Edger Winters "Frankenstein" on my SDA-SRS2's and I swear the helicopter synthesiser sound wraped around my head....more than a 250 degree soundfield!!
No mind altering drugs were used in this demonstration.
I love to demonsrate their abilities.:cool:Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them. -
God this album sounds freaky to me on my sda's, and good!
