Original SDA SRS Dimensional Tweeter?

OK, I have really dug into the way my new found Original SRS's operate. I am just not sure what info I need to take to heart when reading about SDA operation.
I was testing to make sure all the Dimensional Driver's were operating on the opposite speaker as I switch the balance from left to right. Everything checks out A-OK! I read (in the great sticky about proper functioning of SDA loudspeakers) that there should be both dimensional driver(s) and tweeter(s) operating on the opposite balanced speaker. When I put my ear up to the tweeters, I hear nothing coming out of any of them but the 4 dimensional driver's are working just fine. Is that normal for the SDA SRS's? or am I to check something else (like wiring) to ensure it is hooked correctly. Again, everything else checked out just fine per the procedures listed

Any advice is on this topic is much appreciated!!

No thats not normal, sound should be coming from the tweeters. sounds like the rear jumpers are missing or loose.

Jumpers are intact, look good and tight as can be...When the balance is set to normal, all Tweets work perfectly on both speakers. Could something be loose inside the box then?

Sorry I didn't understand and thought the tweeters did not work at all, it might be normal then, lets see what others have to say.

I believe, when the manual is talking about dimensional tweeters, they are talking about the early SDA models. Like the model 1, 2 and CRS. They have a tweeter that receives the SDA signal. Later, Polk found out the midrange is where the real "action" is, and eliminated the SDA tweeter. Hope this helps.

In other words, you don't have dimensional tweeters. Just in the midbass.

Nice, That does make a lot of sense. I appreciate the knowledge, and trust that everything is working perfectly. FYI- I have the Original SRS's with the RDO194's upgrades and think it sounds outstanding. Much better at higher volume than the original SL2000.

    Thanks guys!
