I forgot to ask! Can this TGP III be used for 7.1 or is it just 5.1
Also does the processor have DTS ES, DTS neo6, Dolby EX, Dolby prologic IIX?

It is not a bad deal. The amp is 225 wpc into 8 ohm and 450 wpc into 4 ohm. The processer is three generations old but still formatable.

Depending on demand and condition the amp goes for 900 to 1200 and the pre goes in the 600ish range.

Also looks like he is footing the bill for shipping and insurance.

I imagine that since the TGP has no amplifier there will be no heat coming from it?

It will produce a bit of heat.

Though all the Sunfire amps are very cool running. It has to do with the downconverting power supply technology.

One thing is the sunfire amp in the audiogon classified is not the TGA-5200. Also the TGP III is an older model, after that came the TGP IV and 5, now the latest processor is the TGP 401. In that case I think the price is at the higher end of what I will be willing to pay.
This is a many year old system. For that money I think you can get newer gear. That is just my opinion.

That is a smokin good deal! You should jump on it. If you aren't interested in all the latest & greatest doodads, this will keep you happy for years to come.

Yes it is 7.1, has all the above processing & has 2 sub inputs.

    I know because I have one!:D
