    Mike,
MO is a long way off ... I saved a copy of the picture to my computer and printed it. I will use it as an example while searching for a local cabinet maker.
    thanks .......... MichaelJ.

I hung my surrounds so the bottom is 6' 4" from the floor, lined up with the listening position, set to dipole. That made a big difference in the surround experience. When the speakers were at ear height, the surround information was rather directional; now the surround information is more enveloping, you feel yourself more drawn in to the middle of the picture. Really big improvement.

    Thanks again for the info.

That was the approximate height mine will be hung at, great. I just made a pact with the devil, my wife, so the speakers should be here soon. :) I am most certainly looking for no directional issues, thats why I have pretty much chosen the FXi30. I am still sketched about the FXi50's being too much surround speaker for me right now. I don't know, I like thinking about speakers, so I will continue to have this debate in my head for sure.

IMHO, the FXi30's are superb. I have them in a fairly good size basement/den room. They are wall hung approximately 6.5' from the floor at about 15 feet apart. I considered the 50's but I hefted one at CC and they weigh a ton. I have reinforced Dry Wall and I didn't think it would handle the 50's. I'm very pleased with the look sound and value of the 30's.

Either the FXi50's or the FXi30's will make good sound ... everyone has to chose based on their own listening preferences.

I have the 50's hung on drywall in my family room ... no problems.

The 50's would not be too much speaker sonically ... you balance all your speakers, so you very well may use less volume on the 50's than on the 30's to keep them in balance with your other speakers.

If you really get into AV as a hobby, you may just find yourself getting bigger speakers ... then getting a bigger receiver ... then getting bigger speakers ... and on and on ...........

    dorokusai,

Not sure if you got your speakers yet. But I looked at your setup. If you are planning on moving the CSi30 for the rear and plan on getting the CSi40, you should bring the RTi38's for surround and upgrade your mains to RTi70's:p ......I'm salivating just thinking bout that possibility. I might do that when I have the money.

Chris - I would do that if I had the floor space for them. The entertainment center covers the entire wall. The only space I had for speakers was in the center, which is Ikea, and resonates quite a bit, or above it on brackets.

The brackets are working quite well after some tweaking with dynamat. Thanks for the idea tho' I would love to do that!

Here is my review link if you guys have brackets:
