So as usual I go to the music store on Saturdays hoping to stumble accost a new and different sound. Recently I have been noticing a lot of the newer released albums are not only being released in the compressed format of internet downloading. But cd and LP's as well. Why are they starting to do this? Is this something that is just temporary or are LP's coming back?

Music stores are selling records now. The records are brand new and being released by people like U2, Coldplay, and many others. Why are they coming out with records? Are records coming back?

Pearl Jam has every album on vinyl and Counting Crows have a few too. There are many out there on vinyl as well as polycarbonate. Some even release singles on cassettes for those "developing nations".
