I am doing a system upgrade and have an older Mirage FRX-S8 8" Powered Subwoofer that I plan on keeping and will be upgrading my current Pioneer speakers to the Polk RTi A5's and RTi A3's. Is anyone using an older sub with newer speakers, and would there be any problems that anyone can see?

Agreed, as long as the Mirage can keep pace with A5's, it will be fine. I don't know that it's going to add a lot to the experience, but it might reinforce the bottom end a bit.
