Which Polk in-ceiling speaker fits the holes in my house?
I hope I have put this question in the correct part of the forum, if not please move to the correct one.
I bought a foreclosure and it has 30 holes in the ceilings/walls for speakers.
About 20 of them are 10 inch diameter circles in the ceiling(s). I would like to buy Polk RC80i for in-ceiling speakers but I was not sure if they would fit. Does the template measure about 10 inches?
I am confused regarding the size of the Rc80i speakers, on amazon they mark them as 8 inch, on the polk website they are talking about 10-3/4" Diameter.
So if somebody could help me on which polk set to buy that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hello and welcome to Polk Audio Forums. The RC80i is a 8" woofer speaker, so Polks quote of 10-3/4" is the overall dimensions the facing and all. Are you sure the holes are 10" seems a little big, but yes most likely a 8" speaker hole.

I couldn't find the link on Polk Audio site as it's no longer a good link, and brings back to where I was.
But on Crutchfields.com site it does list a 9.375" cut out needed for the speaker.

Check your amp. i believe the rc80i's are 4 ohm speakers. My room is limited for speaker placement and the wife didn't like the speakers sitting around the room so I purchaced TC80i's for front, center & rear. My fron't are directly over the TV & rears are directly over the sitting area. Could not place behind the couch. Sounds Great! Search the web. I found the TC80i's for $139.00 each including shipping
