Connection from Onkyo TX-SR805 to Emotiva XPA-5

Everyone has been great and thanks again!

Below is my situation:

Front: LSI-15's
SRS: LSI-FX's
Center: LSI C
Sub: DSWPrO600

I will be receiving the speakers next week as upgrade to my polk audio M40's etc. Obvious reason for need of amplifier.

So, what connections should I order for connecting my receiver to the Emotiva XPA-5??? I am a bit confused and about what I actually need as far as type and balanced versus unbalanced.

Your help would be appreciated!!!!!

RCA wires if the amp is just a 2 channel amp than all you need is one set of rcas. They go from your pre outputs of your receiver to your new amp inputs.
    HT setup
    Panasonic 50" TH-50PZ80U
    Denon DBP-1610
    Monster HTS 1650
    Carver A400X
    MIT Exp 3 Speaker Wire
    Kef 104/2
    URC MX-780 Remote
    Sonos Play 1

    63 inch Samsung PN63C800YF
    Polk Surroundbar 3000
    Samsung BD-C7900

I do not think the Onk has balanced outs, so you can forget those.

Basically you need RCA style patch cords or inter connects (IC)

something like this from Monoprice or Bluejean or many other sources.

Connect the pre outs from the Onk to the inputs on the amp, then speaker wire from the amp to your speakers.

Just pick up 3 sets (also known as Analog Interconnects) for about $6 total and leave one wire unconnected.
Here's a link. Just search the site for different lengths if you need them.

You can look into upgrading your IC's later--this will get you started. It's what I did and can't fault them for anything. I've since bought upgraded IC's but I haven't had the chance to put them in yet, and I'm not suffering.

Nice AVR/amp combo by the way ;) and Welcome to Club Polk.
