Hey everyone, I am new here so go easy on me please! LOL. Ok, here is the situation. I have an old RT system from about 9 years ago. I have the RTi 800 towers, the RTi CS 400 center and RT 3001 or maybe 500i rear surrounds. I think it's the 300i. So anyway, I want to upgrade to 7.1 and will need 2 more surrounds. I would like to voice match to my current setup. What surrounds would you recommend since I doubt I will be able to find any 300i to 500i speakers.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    there are some RT600's on ebay for $100... But I'd wait... I saw a pair of refurbed M20's go for $60 + $20 shipping w/ 2-year warrantee.

If you can hold out, I'd sit on craigslist and ebay for a bit.

? Harmon Kardon AVR 55 (dead; replacing with Onkyo TX NR-616)
? Polk RTA 11TL's (FR and FL)
? Polk TSi200's (RR and RL)
    ? Polk CS10 (Center)
    ? Polk PSW-350
    ? Grado SR-60i Headphones
    ? Fii0 E5 headphone amp
    ? iPod touch (8 gig)
    ? iPod Classic (80 gig)
? Mac Mini (as media server)
    ? xbox 360

Welcome to the club! You probably could find those used on the classifieds here, ebay, or audiogon. Otherwise the most important thing for HT setup is having the front 3 matched(front left, right and center).
Most of them only hear how loud it sounds, and the rest of us hear everything else -

Thanks for the welcome and the helpful responses. I thought all your speakers should be matched, but woodsman stated the front are what matters. That makes sense to me, so I will just look around and see what I can find for the other surrounds. I have not bought the new Reciever yet, so I have some time.
