Audio Research SP-6b

Hi, I'm looking for an Audio Research SP-6b, though I would probably be interested in a 6, 6a, 6c, and 6d, but I'd need to research the differences between those models a little more.
A friend has the 6b, and it seems to be a good sounding pre for use with tube amps (and won't cost an arm and 2 legs like todays tube pre's)
Thanks for your time,
-Phil

Saw one on Ebay recently. It's ended. Bummer.

D'oh! Thanks for the info. I don't think I would have paid that much for something with non-original parts, even if they are only switches. My friend got his 6b for $600 plus shipping, and it's mint. I could probably go up to $700 for an original owner mint condition one.
Thanks for the post. -
Actually, upon further research, I'm willing to talk about most any of the Audio Research SP lineup. I've discovered that the SP-10, 11 and 16 are also very nice.
