I can use some speaker shopping advice.

I'm finally upgrading from my tired and bassless Bose sugarcubes. I'm thinking about getting a pair of Polk RTiA5 small towers with a Polk CSiA4 Center, to start.

Where is the best place to get these at a good price? Thanks.

Click on "Where To Buy" at the top of this page, then on "Official ebay store". You can get refurbished speakers with Polk's warranty.

    Welcome!

I would start with Polks Ebay site, Polk Direct. They have really good prices on "refurb" speakers, but as most will tell you that have bought from that site, it is amazing what they consider "refurbs" Most of the speakers pretty much look like they are brand new, and never even used. Newegg also carries the RTiA5's but i think they are currently out of stock on them. List price on them is $449.00 ea. Many other E-tailers carry them for around the same price as Newegg, including Fry's, Best Buy, J&R to name a few. Newegg and J&R offer free shipping, Fry's does not. The CSiA4 is also at the same sites for around $279.99 with free shipping from the same two sites. Also, this is just a thought, but have you considered the CSiA6 as your center? May not need it with the A5's, but somebody with more experience with these speakers may be able to give you better advice. The CSiA6 is a bit more expensive at $449.99 from the same three websites, but again, just an idea. I can't check the Polk Direct website at work since Ebay is firewalled, but those are some places to start. Welcome to Club Polk.

P.S. Those RTiA's love power, what are you going to be using as your AVR? External amps?

Edit: LOL, see, that's what I get for being long winded. In the time it took me to type this, two people already sent you to Polk Direct.

Thanks to all for the good advice on buying from Polk Direct. I called them and ended up purchasing RTiA7s for my fronts, RTiA6 for my center and RTiA1s for my surround. I'm going to hear how they sound before I think about a subwoofer.

My old AVR will have to suffice for now. It'sa Techniques SA-DX940. It's about 7 years old and about 100 watts per channel. Old technology but all the budget will allow for now.

Has anyone with front A7s been satified with their bass response without a sub?
