I have over 1000 cds and have been collecting them since I bought the first Sony made.
1000 cds take a lot of space in shelves. I have them all located in Sony ES 400 jukeboxs which saves space and makes them available instantly. I like to sometimes put the Sony on random shuffle and see what comes up. I also have a list of all the cds by jukebox number and alphabetically which makes it very easy to play anything in a few seconds. The jukebox also keeps the cds from damage during handling or when you forget to place them back in the plastic cases.
I've got 1,378 cd's stored in 4 Sony 400 machines and cataloged in Music Collector software. I use the random shuffle feature quite often and discover lots of good music that way. Most of my cd's are store bought originals or small "lots" I bought here and there plus some copies of friends cd's.
I never counted my lp's, but it must be close to 1,500.

You mean that square'ish player? I had one too. What a piece!
My second was a Nakamichi and thank god that thing sounded a LOT better.
Yes, I bought it at Tweeter for over a $1000. There were only a few CD to purchase back then. I was just amazed by the quiet background, no pops or clicks, and the remote control option. My ex wife still has it and it still works. -
A couple thousand at least, none burned.

That is amazing. I have worn out several players since I had that machine. I got it second hand from a buddy who bought it new.-Kevin

I have maybe 150 cds. I used to have probably in the neighborhood of 400-500 cds, but my collection got cleaned out pretty well over the years by "guests". I probably have about 600 records. I don't hardly look for cds anymore since getting bit by the vinyl bug, but I've been thinking about picking up a new cd player with SACD capability to rekindle the cd spirit.

DO IT!!
Also I did bid on that 1000 cd's collection on ebay. I hope I get it, only thing is that I will need a external hard drive and a new cd tower to hold them all LOLHT setup

Just added another one to my collection tonight.
Genesis Platinum Edition!
So far I love it and have been listening to it all the way home and now on my system. I am officially over the 200 mark!!! With no intention of stopping. I took the liberty of alphabetizing them last week. Because I do not want to do that when I have over 500 lolHT setup
