Being a homer I have to go with the Phils on this one. They match up real well but Phils take it in 6.

Either one, but I would say the NY folks will grab this one. Hope it's a good series.Michael

As a Red Sox fan it's a tough call for me but I do think it may just be one of the best World Series in a long time.
The best thing is that is an east coast series. Now the young fans/school children can watch the majority if not the entire game/s. -
As a Red Sox fan it's a tough call for me but I do think it may just be one of the best World Series in a long time.
Dodgers / Yanks would have been especially entertaining I think. Definitely gotta root for the Phils though; yuck the fankees. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
Wow... my two LEAST favorite teams are in the Series. As a Braves fan, I have our arch-nemesis in the Phils and on the other - all that is evil in the world (sandwiched somewhere between the AIDS epidemic and Two and a Half Men) in the Yanks.
I guess I'll be rooting for a natural disaster.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -
Rootin' for the Phillies.
As for who a winner will be, I dunno. It can go either way.
I do know that the friends I have that are Yankees fans "knew they would beat the Angels" but are now upset that Philly got over the Dodgers. When I asked why, they said "We know the Yankees can beat the Dodgers."
I think it's going to be a good series. Philly is on fire and hot at the right time. They have a well rounded offense with a line up of hitters. They all seem to know how to work a count. They get guys on base and one guy comes up and pops in a few RBI's. I think their bullpen is sorely underrated by everyone in the sports media as well. They are a well rounded team that you never see the look of despair on their face, even if they are down 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th.
The Yankees are not the comeback kings that the Phillies are but their team plays very similarly to the Phillies. They have fairly equal skills and they have good hitters. I'd give an edge to the Yankee's bullpen over the Phillies unless, of course, Cole Hamels wakes up. Then, forget it. Phils all the way. But, without Hamels, Lee and Happ are the only two guns they have for starters. The others are good but not quite at that level and you can't pitch Lee and Happ constantly. Still, the Yankees have a tough bullpen but the Phils have faced pretty tough bullpens before.
Then again, the Phils did play the Yanks earlier in the season and won the series convincingly 2 games to 1.
We'll see. We'll see.

It's a tough call. The Yankees sure seem to be on fire right now and momentum has to tilt a bit their way after last night's win. It seems this one might take all 7 games, keeping the the front offices happy with the additional revenue.
My SDA SRS 2's came from Philly, and the Yanks are my Indians arch rivals, so I guess I'll be rooting for Philly.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

This is super tough for me. I am a huge Mets fan for my whole life. I live in the Philadelphia area and can't stand the Phillies fans that I work with, and they are in the same division as the Mets. BUT...as any New Yorker knows, if you like the Mets you automatically HATE the Yanks, and vice versa. I'm just rooting for a good series with lots of action.

Don't really give a crap as the only baseball I watch all year long is the series so here's hoping it's a good one.

I was thinking an ice pick to the temple, but a natural disaster will do too, as long as it doesn't involve too much more rain to metro Atlanta.
