90's era Tube amp

During the '90's there was a company that made tube amps and pre's and their names started with the letter C. I heard them with vandersteen 2C's and an electrostatic of the era. Any ideas?

BTW their name was a one word name and I have not seen it lately.

    They are now defunct and I believe most if not all their amps were tube/fet hybrids.

    California Audio Labs?... no that's three words, and they were SS guys.
