Using (2) klipsch xw-500d subwoofers???

I recently bought 2 Klipsch XW-500D subwoofers,I notice more room shaking than actually hearing the bass notes.
Why would that be???
Any help appreciated.

What do you have the subs crossed at? Placement is key, you might be sitting in the null areas.
