DSW Micropro hook up question

I have had several subs but always hooked them up with a single LFE line from my receiver. I just bought one of these little Micropro 1000's to add a little bass to some nice LSi9's I use for stereo music listening in my den. My set up makes it difficult to place speakers on the same side of the room as my equipment, so for my LSi9's I ran the Monster flat wire under my carpet and it works great. Now I have the Micropro to hook up too. It is really not an option to run a fat sub cable under my carpet. Can I then hook up my sub by running heavy speaker wire from the second set of posts on the back of my LSi9's (4ohm speakers) to the 2 speaker wire inputs on the back of the sub? I know the manual says to either run the fat LFE cable to the LFE input,,,,or, to run a set of speaker wires from the front L and R receiver outputs directly to the sub's 2 sets of speaker wire connection posts. I am thinking that would be the same thing as taking the power from the back of the speakers themselves. Then, if that is an OK way to hook them up.... should I set my receiver to sub-NO, and front speakers to full band width so everything still gets sent to the speakers?? I obviosly need some good direction here before I fry something! Thanks for any advise you can give.

Yes, I have read the manual. Option 2 says hook your sub up with 16ga wire to your receiver's front L and R speaker outputs. It looks like the diagram has 2 sets of front speaker outs on the receiver. I don't have that. I just want to know if you can hook the sub up to the second set of posts on the back of the F/L speakers themselves and accomplish the same thing?

I hope someone can give a definitive Yes or No answer. But I believe you can not do it that way because you would basically be changing the impedance of the load put on the receiver.

All times I have seen wiring descriptions given for using speaker level inputs on a sub, have always been receiver to sub, speaker outs on sub to R and L speakers. Which is what I base my thoughts on.

I finally got around to hooking this Micropro 1000 up with my LSi9's to check it out. Maybe I've been spoiled by my SVS in my HT room, but I actually thought the LSI9's sounded better without the help of the little sub. I continue to be amazed by how great the LSi's sound powered by the Emo amp. Great highs, mids, and yes, lows too! I am sticking the Micropro sub out in my shop where it is sorely needed to help out a set of OMW3's that have just about zero bass capability.
