Those appear to be the big Synergistics indeed. S-72 is the model.
If you want something like that, might I (humbly) suggest you look for a pair of Sherwood Tanglewoods :-)

As per the thread title, I was curious more than anything. I have a large closet stuffed with curiosity speakers. These look like they might make a good edition if they are a quality speaker.(((STEREO)))

I wouldn't call 'em good, but also not bad. Drivers are all CTS I think, with a Motorola piezoelectric "lemon squeezer" tweeter thrown in for good measure.
