Soupy Sales, the rubber-faced comedian whose anything-for-a-chuckle career was built on 20,000 pies to the face and 5,000 live TV appearances across a half-century of laughs, died Thursday. He was 83.

    What a goofball and a great time watching his show. White Fang, Black Tooth, Pookie.
    Right up there with Mad magazine in importance during one's formative years.

    Two days ago I picked up a copy of The Soupy Sales Show lp. The cover looks like it was made yesterday. I hope I didn't curse him by buying it.

    I remember Soupy as well....83...not too bad, my dad just passed July 08 at that age.
