I love the list. You'd think those terrrist suspects were classical audiophiles.
From Sesame Street to Springsteen to the Star-Spangled Banner....heavy metal...rap.
Reminds me of that old movie from the 60's where they tortured some suspected German or Russian spy with Itty-Bitty Teeny-Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. The fact that the CIA use crappy movies for inspiration kinda bothers me though...

Dejavu? IIRC, someone posted a thread about this several months ago?I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Give me a break! This was not torture, it was for entertainment. They played it loud early on because so many guests were fresh off the very loud battle field environment. If we did not provide this entertainment then they would be claiming we left them sitting around all day with nothing to do.

Looks to me like some artists out to make a buck.

Or... perhaps... they don't want their property involved in psyops. After all it is their music.
Wouldn't you want control of your property and wouldn't you want to be paid for it? Or at least give your permission before it was used?-Kevin

They gave permission when it was sold. Last I remember they don't charge admission for gitmo.
Psyop or not, it's the same as me playing a CD at a party. The end doesn't matter as long as the folks playing it paid for it. Fair use.
If they don't want it used that way, I'm sure AAFES wouldn't mind pulling all of their albums, dvds, etc. from the shelves of military bases around the world. -

Don't you know these "whiny artists" don't look at things that way. They don't want it used because of their political views (which is ok) but do want the sales from the military (not ok, can't have it both ways IMHO) -
If you really wanted to torture them, have a 10 year old go through a box of Legos for about 15 minutes. The sound will drive you crazy.Testing
