Thinking about trying to get these if they are, but curious if anyone knows the model.

They are the original 1'sor 1A's.
Very fun speaker, but you may want to disable the outer dimensional tweeters.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

That is a good price....and Ben is right...most people disable the dimensional tweeter...Polk discontinued the use of that feature in later models. So if you disengage it you'll have a much better SDA effect!

Thanks, for letting me the model number. I'll do some more research on them, so I'm assuming these are lowest end of the SDA line?

Not so much "lowest end" because at the time they were the top of the line. They are an older generation (either 1's or 1A) and the later gen 1B and 1C are a better SDA simply because of newer and improved R & D and technology.

For $150 give them a try and try to get them even cheaper........doesn't hurt to ask.

Guy obviously doesn't know jack about them. I'd buy them for $150 in a heartbeat.

Thanks, just had a long talk with the girlfiend and realize can't spend any more money on speakers right now. Even if it's only $150 just came up a bad time.

Thsmith I hope you get them.

Saw this last night; at $150 you'd be stupid not to get them; disengage the dimensional tweeter if you must; but at $150, you could part them out and probably make money (NOT that I am recommending this).

    Those are clearly 1A's.

You can probably buy a cable from Polk, I think....or even make one yourself...it's not that hard. I have 2Bs back in the U.S. and I bet these guys will belt out even more bass than the 2Bs which have a pretty decent low end among other things.

Those have the sl1000 tweeter and IIRC are a bit older but probably still 1A's.
