Looks to me like it's a Volcano Taco with a black shell. Are my suspicions correct or is it another beast altogether?

You sure? I thought it was 99 cents?

I dunno, they seem to use the same sauce, most off the same ingredients and a black shell.

On a side note, the Volcano Taco isn't all THAT spicy.

Hell... it's not spicy AT ALL, but it makes my mouth very, very happy. I could take a bath in that **** and upon further thought, just think I might. God, I love me some Toxic Smell.

With fire sauce, it's just right.

    I figured it out!

A BlackJack Taco is essentially a Meximelt with ground beef and "pepperjack sauce" in a hard shell instead of a soft shell.

A Volcano Taco doesn't have the 3 cheeses, just cheddar cheese but has the "volcano sauce" which is some spicy, processed cheese concoction.

My favorite is still the Mexican Pizza. Followed closely by Chalupas.

On another side note, two things I miss from Toxic Hell. the 24 pack to go and Jumbo sized drinks.

I had the grave misfortune of being vegetarian in high school. I'm proud to say that ship sank one night returning home from a NIN show. Me... a Double Decker Taco... a million stars shining overhead.... the soothing sounds of a saxophone playing somewhere in the distance. "Magic" happened that night. Pure, unadulterated, oily "magic". Shaq just stared out from the shadows. A knowing smile on his face.

Its funny that I read this and soon after the commercial came across the television. I try to stay away from Taco Hell and similar places. So many things can go wrong.

I actually went against my better judgement and had Taco Bell for lunch today and tried on of the Black tacos, not too shabby.

Blasphemy! Ancient biblical texts when cast in a certain light show that the "manna" that rained from the Heavens during the Jewish exodus may have very well been a deluge of Mexi-melts, Gorditas and Cinnamon Twists. Shalom.

I was just at Taco Bell (they will win the Great Restaurant Wars you know ;) )

On their pricing--its not standard--In Radnor it might costs a couple dollars more than it does in Malvern--Only a few miles apart but the prices are radically different. I've seen similar price discrepancies between McDonalds too.

I guess since most are franchises they can do that deending on the franchise rules, but they likely have to sell for a certain amount if they advertise it.

Its almost like they are doing like the Gas Stations do, two Sunoco's within a couple blocks can differ by $0.50--Makes no sense.

I think Sal just ruined my appetite with the Jack black Taco!

In any case you guys are driving me crazy...not saying Taco Bell is authentic TACO BUT when you've been living in Beijing for over 2 months...you get 'cravings'...you know!

Try finding a Mexican restaurant here!!!!

Damn Sal, lol. I agree AL, I tried some Blackjack tacos the other day at the Taco Bell in Airway Heights and I thought they were pretty good. For $.89 you can't beat em, didn't know about the bacon though, I'll have to try that.
