Newbie here. First I want to express my admiration of this forum. I am an audiophile born again, being out of the loop for some time I happened upon some M7 series 2 speakers for cheap, My interest has perked again, anyway I bought them and found that one driver is bad. Polk is out of stock for a few weeks and I am dying to get these fixed. There are several MW6500 for sale on e-bay. Whats the difference between the MW6500 and the MW6502. I will be driving these with a Yamaha A-700 amp I picked up while in the navy back in 87, they will be playing alongside a set of JBL L100T's from that same era.

I honestly couldn't tell you.... my Monitor 5's have the 6502s in them. If noone else can answer you here, a call to Polk might be able to help you.

Wait a few weeks and get the right driver.

ive found that in some instances a simple change of simalar model numbers can equal major component changes. it could be as simple as a cage mod or as major a cone matirial change.
i would wait for a match, or find out exactly what the difference is.
