Well, i'd like to retract all the statements i made about not being impressed with these speakers.
I'm listening to them now, and they're great. The highs sound good to me, even with the SL2000s. The imaging is very good, if not quite as good as my Paradigms. The bass is unreal, i never would have expected anything like this out of these.
They're off the floor now, so the bloated sound is gone.
My only complaint with them is that they don't seem to deal with crunchy rock music too well, they get muddled a little too easy for me. But then again, i don't really listen to that kind of music critically either.
I'm almost wishing i wasn't selling them to Nik, now.
Pics will follow later, so you guys can all laugh at my "stands." Hey, at least i found a good use for the AR "Frankenspeakers!"

Good to hear you're enjoying them now...the 7's are some fantastic sounding speakers.
When I first got mine, I didn't have any stands for them. They still sounded good, but once I tracked down an original pair of stands the sound got way better. The mid-range got a lot warmer and more focused sounding...the bass tightened up very nicely.
Pick up a pair of RD0-194's and they'll be sounding even better!
You've really gotta get your ears on a pair of Peerless 7's though.;)The nirvana inducer-

They're going to Nik in a week or two we'll see if he upgrades them. He was pretty impressed with how they sounded though, and honestly, i don't feel the need for upgrades with them, either.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.
