I am selling this for a friend of mine as Craigslist hasn't helped him out much. He got rid of a full Reference Klipsch HT (RF83, RC64 etc) for a 2ch setup (Magnapan 1.6) and he went with an ATI stereo amp. This is now left without a home. So I'm selling it for him here as I figure someone would want to pick this up for cheap. It is missing the gold sheathing for one RCA input, but the input still works.

It is usually a real simple fix to replace the RCA jack.
    Good luck with the sale.

Negative. Being a non-member, I hate when people sign up just to try to sell something. I figured here, I have a reputation. If my buddy wants to be "that guy," he can. If it was my amp, I'd be a lil more proactive.

Prefer it! UPS is more expensive, less reliable and typically late. FedEx is my choice unless it's small enough to ship USPS.

My buddy who I'm selling this for was running a full big Klipsch setup on it. RF-83, RC-64 and RS-52 off a Denon 3805 (which is a much bigger amp than the 805 IMO) and he noticed a big dynamic difference with this amp. The only reason he's selling it is because he went to a 2ch setup and because the stats don't say it'll handle 4 ohm, he was nervous about using it "beyond what Carver has it rated at." I told him I don't see how a Carver couldn't handle it but he decided to get rid of it anyway.

I'm not sure what the weight of a Denon 3805 is, I do know that the 3806 is ligher than the 50.9 lbs of Onkyo 805...You have to get up to the Denon 4300 series to get close to the Onkyos weight at least....that said...we all agree that separates and the Carver will produce better sound than an AVR...but IMO that 805 ain't bad for the money...
