    get a pic!!!

I am looking at what the driver compliment is on that link. it says 2 5.25" mids......that might be another speaker than what I consider the real AR9's from the 70's. I know they made a speaker called the AR9 not too long ago.

what most consider the "AR9" of legend has a dome tweet, a dome mid, an 8" midbass and 2 sidefiring 12 inchers. the listing does not have that driver compliment.

got a feeling you might want to avoid this one. if yo get a picture, let me see it

as a note.....the real AR9's in good shape for 600 is a pretty good deal, not a great deal but a good deal. I paid more than that.....worth every penny

I have no idea if it's a good deal or not, but I've heard George's AR 9's, and they are a sweet sounding speaker. If you PM him, I'm sure he'll be able to answer any questions you have.

I'd also say they are bigger than they look in the picture. The pictures don't do them justice.

Actually I was thinking the same as everyone here. I think this probably is a different version of AR-9, and not the legendary one. This one looks much slimmer and it does not have the woofers on the both sides. The front looks very different as well.

On a side note, isn't the "real" AR-9 better than AR-90?

Those don't look like the classic AR9's I saw. The one set I saw, and thought about getting to fixiup, had 2 front woofers plus the side-firing iirc, maybe 5' tall, and heavy, like 120 lbs or more.
Didn't listen to them. The woofer surrounds were shot, and maybe the mids too, can't recall that.

Edit- however, like many manufacturers, there were slews of variations on certain flagship models. As for a good deal, that's a subjective thing for you to answer.
