Looking to buy one or two amps to fulfill the 7 channels of power I need for my new Polk LSi system I'm building:
Emotiva Amps (in order of importance):
1) MPS-1, or MPS-2 - Yes, if I could find one that I could afford, I'd be set for life.
or
2) UPA-7
or
3) LPA-1
or
4) 1 XPA-5 + 1 XPA-2
Going to consider the aforementioned as budget allows. Will also consider a ncie brand 7 channel amp, like and Adcom maybe, that would fit the bill as well. Thanks for looking!

Maybe this may work:

Ya, I was looking at that amp, but I'm not sure/convinced it's the right way to go yet. It would be 210 wpc x5, and 95 wpc x2. The 210 I presume would be fine, but the 95 wpc x2.... Which seperates would I drive with those? The LSi9's or the LSiFX? The Pioneer Elite SC-27 is rated at 140wpc @ 8-Ohm, and a little more at 6-Ohm, and already boasts more juice than the 2 95 wpc channels.. /confused. Any input?

I'm interested in the same guidance but I am only targeting a 5.1 system.
I have LSi15's and LSiC in front and will probably go with LC80FX (ceiling) for the surrounds due to my room configuration.
I may go with an Emotiva XPA-3 for the front 3 and let my Onkyo 805 run the surrounds. Or I may just save my pennies until I can get an XPA-5. It sure seems tough to beat Emo's for value. -
Im curious as to how wire up the LPA-1? There must be some bi-wire/amping going on. What about the 2 50-watt channels? Where do those go on your system?
Also, I would consider the XPA-3 for the front, and letting the Pioneer Elite SC-27 work the sides/rears, but this reciever is 8-ohm, and only rated at 140 watts @ 8-ohm. Isn't that what I'm trying to avoid here, running 4-ohm speakers with an 8-ohm reciever? -
XPA-5 Purchased. Still looking for the following:
2 Polk LSi 9's
1 Polk LSi C
2 Polk LSi FX 1000's
1 Emotiva XPA-2.
Thanks! -
