Usinge STR-DE965 receiver to power passive sub
Hello,
Yet another question... I did a search and have seen many similar situations, I just have a few questions on the fine points.
I am going to be using a Sony STR-D965 receiver to power an Optimus 12" Passive subwoofer for my HT setup.
My questions arrise when it comes to wiring this all up. If I am understanding this all correctly, I should use a standard RCA cable to run from the Sub Pre-out on the back of my main receiver (H/K) to the White (or Red?) input on the back of my Sony receiver. I understand this will send the low frequencies from my H/K main receiver to my Sony sub receiver, But how to I wire the passive sub to the Sony receiver? It has both L/R inputs and L/R outputs, Do I wire both the L and R inputs to the L and R channels on the receiver? Or do I only need to wire one channel?
Let me know if this doesn't make sense,
Globe
