Has anyone had any expereince with this sub for HT? Specifically, have you purchased one and found it not to be "enough" sub for your room. My room size is 17' x 21' approx with 8 ft ceilings...

danz I guess that depends on what your definition of "range" is. The eD ships for $350, I know that "free shipping" is not free, but how ever you look at it final cost is $350. What does SVS have in that range?

SVS does right now have a "B" stock PB12 NSD for $500 (saves you $70) something to consider.

kevhed all that being said, I use an A2-300 in a room a little smaller than yours (2500 cft), and it does a very good job for HT. Its weakness would be 2 ch. but it does a respectable job with music for my tastes.

Not sure what your budget is, but I would say contact them, (e-mail, phone, or they offer an on line contact with sales through their web site) give them your room info and see what they recommend. I have heard they give honest advice compared to the "got to move model x today", or selling what gives them the highest commission. I believe SVS and HSU also offer this honest advice on product selection if you contact them.

The nice thing about HSU is they rate their subs based upon room size.

I have put in 3 of these over the past couple of years. At $350 it's one of the best bang for the buck HT subs.

I would also look at the BIC Acoustech PL-200. If I can use my experience with the H100 as an indicator you should be happy with the PL-200. I haven't heard it but just going off my experience with the other sub in the Acoustech line up it will probably do well. I am sure there are reviews out there for that sub.

Do you have the ability to build your own speaker cabinet? That would be another option (DIY).
