Hello

Man, I was just blown away by this, the sepia tones at the start and when it switches to color.....highly recommend this!! Don't know how they got this thing to look like this, the original negative must have been in pretty good shape....

    Are BR's discs backwards compatible with SD players?

    No, you need a Blu-ray player to play Blu-ray discs....looks like your in the market for a player and flat-panel:)

    Nope, I'll just settle for a SD version of the W/OZ. :D

    I watched this last week on the big screen and will say it is a must see. The BD package has allot to offer as well with plenty of details on the film, etc. The colors are brilliant in every way. SQ was on point for what it is, some LFE but its the OZ not much action to make things go boom. Highly recommended to see this on BD.

    Come on Cathy, you owe it yourself to make the jump to BD. :)
