Happy Birthday, Mr. Ken Swauger !

If you can arrange it, could you squeeze an extra birthday in this year so that Lasareath will post another most excellent "Happy Birthday" video ? Thanks.

    Hello,
Thank you, everyone! Yes, it was an excellent birthday. My wife and I had a great brunch at the local favorite, of ours, the Parkside Cafe. We then went to the Record and Tape Traders store, in Towson, I was thinking about the vinyl version of the new Beatles recording as a BD gift. But, I read on the back that it was a "direct metal" copy made from the digital tape, so I got cold feet and decided not to let my wife buy it for me.
Instead we went to the Baltimore Museum of Art and looked at the Poe exhibit and the Cone sisters collection. Amazing that these two ladies had enough foresight to make that kind of collection. We then went downtown to the Lebanese Taverna and had some excellent Lebanese food and wine. Then we decided to see if we could find the Cone sisters' original apartment building in Bolton Hill and we did. Pretty cool!
We came home and watched a Netflix movie called "El Norte", very good movie that makes you appreciate everything that you have, in life. A fantastic birthday, really excellent. I'm enjoying retirement very much, that's for sure. Again, thanks for all the BD greetings, you guys are great!
    Take care, Ken

Congratulations, Mr. Swauger, on what sounds like it was a truly excellent birthday.

One other thing, though, who is Jed Leland?!

P.S. Thanks again for all your help when you were still working for Polk Audio

    Hello,
Thank you for the well wishes, I appreciate it very much. Jed Leland was the character Joseph Cotton played in the movie Citizen Kane. He tried to tell the truth even though it cost him his friendship with Charlie Kane. I'm a big fan of the movie and used it for my "cyber-identity".

Good for you Ken. I saw your picture and you look too young to be retired.

    Hello,
Thanks for the compliment, it pays to pick your parents carefully. Both of my folks are doing well, they're in their eighties and living in Western Maryland. Believe me, we "baby boomers" appreciate everyone's Social Security payments. Keep up the good work!
    Cheers, Ken
