Polk amps on clearance at fry's

I happen to be in the car audio section of fry's and saw a PA1100.5 for $256. By instinct I bought it, but I have to clue what I am going to do with it.

They also had a PA400.1 for $100.

www.frys.com In-store pickup option is not showing. Might be able to get it shipped for those of you interested.

    Just curious,

    1. why would you keep the db 6501 and seel the mm6501?

    2. Do you really need the rears in car 1?

    Yeah the pa 1200.1 is a steal at $250. Out here it sells for like $375.

    1) Yeah, I've thought of that. The db's are the old school db's (about 10 years old) and they are just mids as the mm6501 is a full component set. If I can't sell them, I may consider doing that.

    2) Yeah, car 1 is a maxima sedan, so it needs rears. Dont worry, the sr's are getting 85/140 watts for tweeters/mids each side. Rear db's are getting 85 watts.

    unrealii, what frys u work at?

    the frys i work at, the demo of the 1100.5 was sold for $4.75 because of an error in the system.

    I dont work at fry's. Someone tipped me off to pick up an amp for them. I ordered 4 from 4 different stores, 3 order got cancelled from not in stock, then the 4th was a mess. The store called me and said the price wasn't $4.95, but 204.95. I said okay, i'll still take it. Half an hour later they call back and say the price is $299. I was like uh, no cancel my order. Then I called the store back saying someone told me it was 204.95, and the lady is like "NO, it's $399". Oh well, pricing error. What can ya do..lol

    i sure you to god the las tone was bought this morning at teh Dallas frys for $4.75. it was 204.75, and a 200 dollar off from manufacture. my friend bought it.

    Haha, good job! By the time store opening rolled around for us here, I think corporate realized the mistake and tipped off the stores not to sell it.
