    What kind of pricing can you do for a local pickup? I run up towards San Marcos fairly often and have been looking for a DAC to pair up with the wadia transport in the future.

    I am not seller; I just cross-listed as a PSA.

    My guess is that it has been sold, but I would PM or e-mail that seller from Head-Fi website and see if it hasn't already been sold.

    For not much more ($399)you can buy a new MF VDAC that will have a newer generation of the Burr Brown dac chip and sample rate convertor.http://www.avguide.com/blog/the-little-dac-could

    There's always that classic problem. What's sounds better, a older premium
    DAC with a good analog section, or a new DAC with a new style DAC chip?

    It depends on the Dacs, I preferred my Theta Pro Prime IIa dac over
    the New Music Hall 25.2 dac.

    True the quality of analog stage is key to good SQ.From what I can gather the DAC1 and VDAC both have similar analog stages utilizing decent IC opamps.
