What speakers to get

My buddy wants to get new speakers for his HT. He said he has a 100 watt receiver. He wants book shelf. I am familiar with polk LSI and RTI series none of the others really. He does not want to pay the money for these series. What are your reccomedations on the other polk book shelf. He did not tell me room size or anything. He does not want to spend allot.

    Do you really mean $119? $200 is pretty expensive for them, I got mine for $150 5 months ago, and they regularily go on sale for $119-$129/pr

    yteah i just got mine for 150 this week as well.. those are definitely a good choice.

    Why bookshelf speakers? Just curious. He will need to buy stands and those can add another $200 to the price when done right so floorstanders aren't much more if price is a concern. I hope he's not actually going to set them on a bookshelf, they will sound awful.
