It's apparently happened more than once. It's also happened to a U.S. Navy resupply ship and three other French ships of similar duties to the American counterpart.

But apparently, these morons are so out of touch that the U.S. Navy has taken an older cargo ship and converted it to a floating pirate prison that essentially uses itself as bait. When the moron pirates try to board and hijack, they are met with Marines and sailors with much bigger guns and much bigger numbers and offered a free, all expenses paid trip on the "luxurious" Bobbing Borgata for their troubles where the only gambling done was with their lives and they lost. I hear it has a nice view of the beach though!

I'm wearing this shirt today. No ****.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I hope they are not being too mean or harsh with the pirates because we would not want to send the wrong message to the rest of the world. Its bad enough we are embarrassing them but to think one could fall down, by accident of course, and get a bruise on his knee would be horrible.
