WTB: Several Polk LSi & RTi Speakers

I am interested in purchasing some speakers for a new 7.1 surround sound home system I am building. I already have a 55" Plasma, a Klipsch Sub-12 Subwoofer, and am going to order a Pioneer Elite SC-27 this week.

I am located in Northern California. I would be willing to pick up within a few hour's drive from here, or consider shipping charges. Below is an idea of what I am looking for. I would like a full LSI set, but my budget is limited and therefore I would consider a mix of LSI and RTI (possibly TSi) components to fill the system from multiple sellers:

LSi 25's or 15's, RTi 9's (1 Pair either/or but preferably LSI 25's or 15's)
LSi 9's or 7's, RTi A3's or A1's (1 or 2 pair; 1 pair if I locate some FX's)
LSi C or CSi A6 or CSi A4
LSi FX 1000's or FXi A6's or FXi A4's (1 Pair)

Please reply with any equipment from the aforementioned list that you have for sale, including when at all possible a price, model #, approximate age of equipment, and any pictures. You may also send me a PM (please reply here first stating that you have done so) and I can provide an e-mail address and/or phone number to discuss possible equipment purchases.

Thanks for looking!

Just a little bit of advice but then again you might already know this.
    1. LSi's are 4ohm speakers, do NOT drive them with the receiver alone but if you do keep it at lower volumes.
    2. Unless your living room is pretty large, a 'cramped' 7.1 setup would sound worse than a properly placed 5.1 setup. Might even save yourself some money by not having to buy the extra pair.

Goodluck! And welcome to Club Polk!

I heard that they were 4ohm speakers, but I was not sure how they would be affected by an 8ohm receiver. I want to get full use out of them so maybe I need to add a 2-channel amp to the "wanted" list then :). I hear that the LSI25's and the 15's to some extent are quite power-hungry.

Is the entire LSi line 8-ohm? I.E. would I have to get a 4-ohm amp for the seperates such as the center channel, and side/rear surround? Or only a 2-channel for the LSi 25/15's? Thanks for your input!

BTW: My living room is pretty big.

I ended up with and 7ch Emotiva amp to power the LSI25's that I have listed, though, I had initially planned to do like you said; two chan for the 25's and receiver power for everything else.

They are indeed very power hungry, and the LSi series are all 4ohm. Running these speakers on an AVR at 'moderate to high' volumes can damage both the speakers and the receiver.

I have decided to stick with the LSi series of Polk speakers (color not important.) However, I am going to add a few things to the list that I am looking for:

    Emotiva: UPA-7 or XPA-5 + XPA-2, USP-1
    Monster Power: HTS-5100 MKII
