My apology's to people that see a lot of my threads. I am just trying to get the most out of my system for the money I have.

My monitor 40's are right now right up against the rear of the couch. The rear wall behind the couch is about10 feet back. I am wondering is I would get better rear fill by placing them against the wall weather that be Up or in the middle of the wall. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

Are you running 5.1 or 7.1? That can come into play, or not. More than likely I think it would probably sound better back at the wall.

Best advice I have would be to test it with a temporay setup. Try to get something to set them on at the approx. height you are thinking, run speaker wire on top of the floor, recalibrate and see how it responds in your room, to your ears. If you like it.........then that's what you want to do.

Thanks I guess I will be buying some more cheap speaker wire today to test this out.
Also it is a 5.1 setup.

I'm sure you already know this, but don't forget that they are rear-ported so you don't want them right up against anything that might block the port.

Uh ohhhh, he dropped the "M-Bomb" LOL. I agree though, put those 40's back a little bit and I think you will get a better sound, since they aren't right behind your head at ear level, lol. Happy tinkering.
