Not sure how else to position these, but the bass is too pronounced, and they're so heavy to move around.

Jesus... and my wife thought my 1.2tl's took up to much space.:D
If I were you I would sell a set of those and put the cash towards a set of 1.2tl's andthen sell the other set. You will be well pleased.:)

That is exactly what I thought!

I'm certain the SDA effect is not possible with four of those puppies in play. Am I right?

That looks cool...I thought they were just 2 speakers until I looked closer...
IDK how to help with "too much Bass"....

Now when do you hear someone complaining about too much Bass??????

Pardon my ignorance...but why did you reverse the outside two speakers?
Wouldn't that cancel something out....or 'confuse' something....

Now you did it! You got John thinkin', " maybe I should look for another pair of 2.3TL's."
They would sound great with that 1000 center channel you've got.

I never understood people with great speakers, and then in their pictures there's always a piece of furniture directly in front of one of them. What's the point?

Wives or girlfriends. When they are involved you still have to fill the room with furniture.

No wonder the bass is too pronounced, dude. 2 sets of speakers?

    Bad, bad, bad move.

Lose a set. Seriously. You are getting absolutely no true SDA whatsoever. I can only imagine the image smearing you are experiencing. All you are providing yourself with is sound [a lot of it] and it doesn't sound good, it just provides a lot of bad sound.

I thought so too, since there is no edge between teh 2 speakers on the wood cabinet. However, if you look at the refelctions on the mid-drivers you will see that they are all different in the 4 speakers. Also, th lighting is consistent- all teh reflectiosn point away from teh center flash.

If its a doctored photo, someone definitely did an intelligent job.

Yep, the 4.6TL "Polk Jackalope" speakers are a doctored photo:)
The top and bottom wood pieces were fudged to full width, and the seam in between the pairs was blended to make it look like one speaker. I put lefts next to rights because the driver symmetry made it look more dramatic for photo purposes ;o).

How did you deal with the flash reflection on the drivers, though? It's different on every single driver...

Well, no, the 2 pairs of 2.3's are real. Just the 4.6TL "double wide 2.3's" that's fake.

Never intended to leave them like this but couldn't resist hearing how they sound in this
configuration. Oriented as shown in the pic, sounds pretty dull and thin. Putting lefts together and rights together improved it, but still lacking. Then unplugging both SDA cables was a large improvement from there, which I guess shows the double dose of difference signal on each side was a main cause. Plugging just one SDA cable in improved it from there, in that you could hear some SDA effects, and moving in close, about 3 feet away, sounded best. But one pair, one SDA cable, was the winner.
